I have been living in Tbilisi for the last two years. It is a strikingly inspiring city full of amazing details. Cozy courtyards, openwork carved doors, facades of houses braided with branches of climbing plants. Blooming roses are everywhere, huge, giving a saving shade in the heat, sycamores, beautiful city fountains and small drinking water fountains so that the townspeople can quench their thirst on a hot day. Mountains on the horizon!
Georgians are sympathetic and open people who have a lot of dignity. They are very proud of their culture, language, and national cuisine. They know how to enjoy life and have a delicate taste.
It is also impossible not to notice that in the city a lot of dogs live on the streets and in the yards, taken care of by the locals. They look like happy hosts of the city.
I wanted to create a story in which I could convey the beauty and flavor of Tbilisi, the aroma of delicious unusual dishes.
The main character is our dog Waffle, which we brought with us. She plays the guitar, takes ballet (like my kids), and misses home. The inhabitants of the city in which she lives are dogs. They buy groceries at the bazaar, get their hair cut in barbershops, and dry their laundry in the yards.
